Toba Arabica comes from Toba Regency in North Sumatra and was registered as a geographical indication on 2 December 2021.
Its registration number is IDG000000106. Toba Regency is the name Toba Samosir has carried since 2020, and the boundary file this map uses still says Toba Samosir. DJKI's GI catalogue describes a varied cup: tropical fruit, berries, citrus, chocolate and nuts. On the map Toba borders Tapanuli Utara and Simalungun, so its neighbours are Tapanuli Utara Arabica and Simalungun's two GIs, arabica and robusta, all among North Sumatra's eleven coffee GI regions.
