Lahat Robusta comes from Lahat Regency in South Sumatra and was registered as a geographical indication on 16 August 2024.
Its registration number is IDG000000154. DJKI's GI catalogue describes a complex flavour, a strong body, high sweetness, and prominent caramel, chocolate and gula aren, palm sugar. Lahat neighbours the city of Pagar Alam and Empat Lawang Regency, both with robusta GIs of their own, and Muara Enim, home of Semendo Robusta. All four are in South Sumatra, the province with the largest coffee production figure in BPS's 2024 table.
