Empat Lawang Robusta comes from Empat Lawang Regency in South Sumatra and was registered as a geographical indication on 10 February 2017.
Its registration number is IDG000000055. DJKI's GI catalogue names coffee from the districts of Ulu Musi, Talang Padang and Lintang Kanan, tasting of chocolate, caramel, a little fruit, cereal and butter. Empat Lawang borders Lahat and also two Bengkulu regencies with robusta GIs, Kepahiang and Rejang Lebong. South Sumatra itself has five robusta GIs on the map and the largest coffee production figure in BPS's 2024 table.
