Gunung Kelir Robusta comes from Gunung Kelir in Semarang Regency, Central Java.
It was registered as a geographical indication on 30 March 2023, number IDG000000127; the heading in DJKI's catalogue writes "Kopi Robusta Gunung Kelir Semarang". According to that catalogue, the coffee is processed wet (washed) as well as dry (natural). Semarang Regency has two coffee GIs: this robusta and Java Semarang Arabica, registered in 2024. On this map Semarang borders Temanggung and Magelang, so Gunung Kelir neighbours Sindoro-Sumbing, Temanggung Robusta and Merapi Merbabu Magelang. BPS recorded 48,933 hectares of coffee in Central Java in 2024.
