Java Sindoro-Sumbing Arabica comes from Temanggung and Wonosobo regencies in Central Java and was registered as a geographical indication on 1 December 2014.
Its registration number is IDG000000030. DJKI's GI catalogue describes little or no detectable bitterness, medium to high acidity and a strong aroma, sometimes with fruit, lemon, flowers, caramel, chocolate, spice and honey. For the harvest, news sources put Temanggung arabica at around May to June; that statement covers Temanggung only, not yet Wonosobo. On this map Sindoro-Sumbing touches five other Central Java coffee GI regions, including Temanggung Robusta in the same regency and Pegunungan Dieng Arabica in Banjarnegara.
