Tungkal Jambi Liberica comes from Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency in Jambi and was registered as a geographical indication on 23 July 2015.
Its registration number is IDG000000032, and the species is liberica. DJKI's GI catalogue describes a good aroma free of off-flavours, sometimes sweet, herbal and tasting of nangka, jackfruit, with a long aftertaste, good balance, a clean acidity and a strong body.
