Toraja Arabica Coffee

Koro's summary, from the sources below

Toraja Arabica comes from Toraja in South Sulawesi and was registered as a geographical indication on 9 October 2013.

Its registration number is IDG000000025. DJKI's catalogue says only "Toraja"; Toraja Utara was split from Tana Toraja in 2008, so this map draws both regencies. DJKI's GI catalogue describes a complex, balanced profile, good acidity and a strong aroma, with notes of sweetness, chocolate, spice, citrus and flowers. On the harvest, the sources disagree: May to September from one cooperative, July to October according to Mongabay, so the map draws May to October. From Rantekarua Coffee Plantation, Samuel Karundeng placed in the Cup of Excellence Indonesia in 2021, 2022 and 2023; the highest placing was eighth in 2023 with 89.15 for a natural lot.
