Sembalun Lombok Arabica comes from Sembalun, a district of Lombok Timur Regency in West Nusa Tenggara.
It was registered as a geographical indication on 7 June 2024, number IDG000000149; DJKI's catalogue gives its origin as "Lombok", and this map draws Lombok Timur, the regency Sembalun belongs to. DJKI's GI catalogue describes fruit and citrus, a fairly strong acidity, and a refreshing aroma when brewed. It is the only arabica GI in West Nusa Tenggara on this map; the other three are robusta. Lombok Timur borders Lombok Utara, so Sembalun neighbours Rinjani Lombok Utara Robusta. BPS recorded 6,423 tonnes of coffee in West Nusa Tenggara in 2024.
