The GI was registered on 12 June 2026, number IDG000000272, and its arabica grows at 1,680–1,800 m. DJKI's GI catalogue describes dense beans, a mountain aroma, and a fresh, balanced acidity. Sigi borders Luwu Utara in South Sulawesi, home of Seko Arabica. BPS recorded 11,793 hectares of coffee and 3,133 tonnes of production in Central Sulawesi in 2024, all of it from smallholder farms; those figures cover the whole province.
