Merapi Sleman Robusta comes from Sleman Regency in Yogyakarta and was registered as a geographical indication on 4 November 2024.
Its registration number is IDG000000173, the only coffee GI in Yogyakarta on this map. The coffee is processed natural and split-cherry natural (pecah kulit). DJKI's GI catalogue notes a fairly even roast, with brown sugar and chocolate, mild, clean and very balanced. Sleman borders Magelang, so on this map Merapi Sleman neighbours Merapi Merbabu Magelang Arabica. BPS recorded 1,877 tonnes of coffee in Yogyakarta in 2024.
